ANTI WOMEN HARASSMENT COMMITTEE

Bharti Group has established a Women Cell in the college campus to empower girl students, to enhance understanding of issues related to females and to make the college campus a safe place for them and avoid cases related to gender discrimination and sexual harassment.As per Supreme Court of India guidelines, the definition of sexual harassment is broad enough to include all kinds of offensive, hostile, intimidating, humiliating and exploitative language, gestures and conduct.

With a view to taking up women’s issues and problems, the cell aims at creating awareness of their rights and sensitizing male students. It also provides a platform for girl student and female faculty, staff to share their experiences and views regarding their status in the society and to suggest ways to improve and empower themselves. Aiming at intellectual and social upliftment of the girl students, the cell stands for facilitating women’s empowerment through guest lectures, seminars, awareness programs and other welfare activities.
